Rollin'slostmovie,andlostforagoodreason,asthedirectortoldinseveralinterviews(oneontheBritishDVD,forexample):itwassimplysopoornodistributorboughtit.Thedirectorblamesthismostlyonthescriptwriter.Theproducerhadhiredsomeonetokeepthedirectorfromcontinuingwithhisusualvampiremysterystuff,andthatkindofco-operationagainsteachothercouldn'twork.However,"TheEscapees"hasenoughmagicmomentstobeworthwatching.Especiallywhenpeoplestoptalkingsuchasintheending,orwhenMarieskatesontheice,imaginingsheisadmiredbyacrowd,butonlyMichelleissecretlywatchingher.
